About me

   My name is Jan Pospisil and I come from Czech Republic. Originally I am skilled plumber, but up to this day I have learned many other skills and have collected enough experience to be able to take on projects like bathroom or kitchen refurbishments and finish them to high standard.

   My first occupation in UK building trade was in year 2002. With my plumbing skills I started to work for property developer (with over 40 years of experience) who taught me how to plaster, tile, fit new kitchens, make build-in cupboards and many other odd jobs around the house. We have made quite a good team but I was still more of an apprentice without tools. Together we have completed several building extensions and loft conversions, which included new bathrooms and kitchens. 

   After almost 4 years of learning all those skills, I felt enough confident to take more responsibilities and started to work for top end of market Refurbishment Company as a bathroom fitter. It was my job to do complete top to bottom bathroom refurbishments on my own. Those were obviously including ripping out old bathrooms and installing all new plumbing, wiring, plastering, carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating.  

   Occasionally I was made to work on deferent projects where I learned other new things and tips from other skilled tradesmen working for the company. Some of those tradesmen are now my friends and occasionally when I have a lot of work or need help I share some of my work with them.

   After about 2 years in this employment I realised that I am fully able to offer high quality workmanship and services to the public on my own without having to charge £250+ per day (plus VAT) like this kind of commercial company.

   This means that I can charge clients less money for the services and still make more money than if I would work for the company. I am not greedy like those subcontractors who are trying to squeeze every penny from you (and from me too).

   I am the energetic guy who likes to be creative and enjoys seeing job done to highest standard.

   I am happy when clients are happy with results of my work, because this means they will employ me again or recommend me to friends or family.

     So, next time you need to get done a job on your property, think. Cut out the middleman (subcontractors or other companies) and save yourself some money. Call straight to skilled tradesman who will deal with you directly.
